Last year, I was drum teching for Jared Pope. He is the Drummer for Tom Kiefer Band and Brother Cane. Jared is friends with Rod. He showed me the Wing Thing! Jared let me hold onto the Wing thing over the course of the weekend. I was also teching for Danny Seraphine. I used the Wing Thing during rehearsals and live performance. I can't believe we've been through a century of modern drumming, and no one has thought of this. I no longer have to lock two drumsticks together around a screw head to tighten it. This tool is durable and works great!

I had seen on Rod's various social media posts about his Wing Thing and thought about ordering one for myself. I was online watching John DeChristopher's podcast with Rod a couple of weeks ago. I loved what was being said. So, I ordered one for myself. I am part of a weekly and monthly open mic and open jam where other drummers have used my kit. These drummers have a tendency to hit my stuff a little hard at times. So, I was happy to use the Wing Thing to tighten up some of my hardware. I also use a hi-hat jingle for a lot of the gigs I play and I was getting frustrated that I couldn't tighten it as it would always sink down. With the Wing Thing, I was able to tighten it up and not worry. I used mine twice in the last week and I love it. Thanks Rod.

I work as a full-time backline/drum tech and I have found so much use for this on and off the stage.
Behind or in front of the kit I can ensure that the drummer is never going to have something fall no matter how hard the drummer may hit the drums or cymbals. It also has NEVER stripped a wing nut or casing since I've been using it.
I've also been able to use this to tighten and loosen parts on an apex ultimate key board stand.
Just a great overall tool to have in your pelican or stick bag.

I work as a guitar tech but it's still always handy to have this with your tools... You never know when you might end up helping with drums. I personally have a a guitar cabinet wedge i added some kick drum legs on it, so the wing thing comes in super handy for tightening.
